Marianne North (24 October 1830 – 30 August 1890) was a prolific English Victorian biologist and botanical artist, notable for her plant and landscape paintings.
She travelled extensively and had also visited Borneo twice. As Borneo is home to the Orang-utans, I am planning to do a jungle scene featuring one of her paintings as the backdrop and incorporating the orang-utan figures.
